- Get 2-3 Bay leaves
- Prepare 1 Stick Cinnamon
- Make ready 3-4 Elaichi (cardamom)
- Get 1 Cup Almond paste..(soak almonds for some time and make paste in grinder)
- Get 1 teaspoon Tandoori masala
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Haldi
- Take 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- Prepare 1 teaspoon Coriander Seeds
- Take 1 tablespoon Ghee
- Prepare to taste Salt
- Make ready 3-4 spoon oil
- Prepare 2 tbsp Kasoori Meethi
- Prepare For Smoky Effect
- Take 1 Charcoal
- Get 1 teaspoon Ghee
- Get 3-4 cloves
Who can say no to a spicy chicken curry with smoky flavour? Chicken Angara is a spicy and delicious South Indian Curry. The smoky flavored chicken curry is very suitable for serving on special occasions. It can be paired well with any paratha or flat Indians breads.
Instructions to make Smoky Flavour Chicken Angara:
- Marinate chicken. Take one Glass bowl. Put Yogurt. Add Ginger garlic paste. Add tandoori Masala, garam masala, salt, food colour, Haldi. Mix well.
- Now add Chicken pieces.
- Now Mix them well. And keep for Marination for atleast one hour.
- Now take one Kadai. Add oil. Now put bay leaves, cinnamon stick, Elaichi.
- Now add chopped onions. And saute till pink.
- After onions turn pink add ginger garlic paste. Saute for two minutes.
- Add tomato paste and saute well till it leaves oil.
- Now put all masala…tandoori masala, garam masala, coriander powder,salt(we had added salt in Marination too) so put according.
- After it leaves oil add almond paste.
- Mix well and add one teaspoon Ghee. Now add marinated chicken.
- Now let it cook.. On another flame keep charcoal for burning.
- Let this chicken cook for 10 16 mins. Dont add water because it will be too watery and also yoghurt will leave water.
- Add kasoori methi now.
- Now Charcoal is ready. Now take one steel bowl keep the charcoal on it and put cloves and one teaspoon Ghee and immediately close the cover.
- Keep it covered for 10 15 mins and lower the flame.
- Now your smoky flavour Chicken Angara is ready to serve. Take it in a bowl.
The smoky flavored chicken curry is very suitable for serving on special occasions. It can be paired well with any paratha or flat Indians breads. Chicken Angaara is my absolute favorite. Its an easy chicken recipe and it's smoky flavor and aroma makes it distinct from most chicken gravies like Chicken Changezi and Butter Chicken. Let it cool and grind into fine powder.
