- Take 3 cups sugar
- Get 1 1/2 cup boiling mint water

- Take 1/4 cup water
- Take 1 tbs lemon juice
- Take Orange zest 1tbs(optional)
- Take 1 tbs mint flavor
- Prepare Green colour
Put the granulated sugar and water in a saucepan and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat stirring occasionally. Boil for one minute and then remove from heat. Wash the fresh mint leaves to remove any dirt or hitchhikers from the garden.
Instructions to make Homemade Mint syrup:
- Remove fresh mint leaves from the stalk n wash them properly.
- Put mint leaves n orange zest in a pot, add 3cup of water n boil till d water reduce to half.
- Heat ½cup of sugar +¼ cup water in a saucepan until d sugar completely dissolve, bring to simmer for 8min over low flame.
- Strain the boiling mint water. Add the remaining 2½cup of sugar in d dissolved sugar followed by the boiling mint water.
- Add d lemon juice n continue to simmer for 20min, add colour n flavour stir.
- Remove from heat n allow to cool the syrup will thicken store in an air tight container n refridge can last for 3month.
- NB: syrup making is slow process n need low flame. If ur syrup Crystalized add water n boil again.
- I didn't add any colour to my syrup cos I don't have green colour.
Boil for one minute and then remove from heat. Wash the fresh mint leaves to remove any dirt or hitchhikers from the garden. In a small saucepan bring the sugar and water to a boil, stirring to be sure the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add the fresh mint to the syrup, pressing the mint into the syrup to submerge it. Add peppermint extract and remove from heat.
